Take the case to the world court in the Hague where jurisdiction presumably can be asserted on the basis that the 
Internet is part of the world, sovereign territory or not, and therefore its humble subjects, or citizens-by-choice, 
are entitled to a venue that recognizes their preferred belief system and premise.

with bad legislation (or bad software) and can't be bothered with the work required to change it?

Do humans have an inalienable right to freedom from suffering as a result of other people's really bad ideas? No.

Thus, you're stuck resetting your own FD list subscription settings until somebody (else) puts in the effort to change 
the software law that says “Mailman must malfunction under the following circumstances...”
