You might consider taking your own advice. "I am Chris Beasley, the author of this site. Why did I make it? Because I love Google. Google is a great company, a good company, a responsible company..." [1] While I do not feel very strongly about whether Google is 'good' or 'bad', it seems quite clear that Mr. Beasley is not an objective source of information with regards to Google. If his own words aren't evidence enough, you should check out his other site [2]- it's also clear he makes money from Google. He also apparently has quite an odd definition of spam: "For instance if someone puts a link on their website that says 'Contact us with suggestions and feedback' then they are soliciting emails. You could email them business proposals or anything else without worry of reprisal. If the link was worded 'Contact us with suggestions and feedback about this site' and you sent them an email explaining how Viagra would help their personal life then that would be spam since they only solicited comments on their website. "So if you want to email someone make sure they solicit contact somewhere, if not then don't email them. If you just blindly email a proposal to webmaster () domain com it can get you in trouble." [3] All those words boil down to two things in plain English: harvesting addresses from websites, and listwashing. Spammers always lie, you know... st3ng4h [1] http://www.google-watch-watch.org/contact.php [2] http://www.websitepublisher.net/ [3] http://www.websitepublisher.net/article/spam/ _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
