If you cant bother posting something helpful, why did you reply at all?
I did post something helpful; IMO, more helpful than all this speculation and talk about windows update. You provided no information whatsoever besides the a source ip address of localhost. No logs, OS, applications running, ISP, type of connection or even protocols and ports. I suggested that you do some research. In other words, RTFM and STFW. Additionally you'll notice that several posters asked for logs. However, since you found that the other posts have been so helpful, share with us your conclusions so that we all may know what it means to get "a few 127.0.0.1 on differing ports lately." BTW, I'm on the list, you needn't address me. _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it. Charter: http://lists.netsys.com/full-disclosure-charter.html
