Looks like redhat sold their soul to the devil. http://news.zdnet.co.uk/software/linuxunix/0,39020390,39117575,00.htm Red Hat recommends Windows for consumers Red Hat's chief executive has said that Windows will remain the right platform for home users, at least until Linux has had more time to mature.Or it's a very clever marketing ploy that implies that "RedHat is the right choice now for the enterprise".
What's interesting, is this is pretty much what Fred Avolio said in his recent monthly newsletter. In which he mentions having bought a linux <It was a cheapo Lycoris system from wal mart or k-mart> just to check this out; http://www.avolio.com/ [netsec-letter] #30, The Microsoft Factor Part 2 and; http://www.avolio.com/weblog/2003/10/08#linuxdesktop.) Thanks, Ron DuFresne ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Cutting the space budget really restores my faith in humanity. It eliminates dreams, goals, and ideals and lets us get straight to the business of hate, debauchery, and self-annihilation." -- Johnny Hart ***testing, only testing, and damn good at it too!*** OK, so you're a Ph.D. Just don't touch anything. _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
