To all: I am by no means a professional security researcher, but it is hard to find a list where full disclosure is allowed that isn't biased in some way, either through anal moderators or corporate bias. That said, the flood of literal "crap" that I have been getting in my inbox of late from a select group of people from this list is unacceptable to me. Full-disclosure is a great thing, it allows the spreading of information that would otherwise be suppressed by corporate politics or other such crap. It does not mean that every wannabe who can type should post. I have spent more time trying to sort this list for useful information in the past few weeks than i have spent on any of my other countless email messages. And you know what? That means having to read every message, and that means that I have to read a lot of this crap that shouldn't have been sent in the first place. Having a civilized discussion is one thing, but please keep all personal comments/messages off of the list. Sarcasm/Slander/Arguments are completely useless, and for the people out there who have to read this list to keep abreast of any current security issues, you are making their jobs hard as hell. I have been tempted one too many times to unsubscribe, but the amount of useful info that I have received either through advisories or valid discussions has kept me from sending that email. I'm sick of seeing links in email messages from this list, clicking them, only to be redirected to porn pages. I know I speak for others when I say, this crap has to stop. It's hard to find "good" information, and when there is a good source for it, you don't need it being polluted by crap. I have said enough, but I hope that someone is listening and that this makes a little bit of sense. sincerely, robert _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
