Well this bug seems to crash my IE on XP

Lets look a bit further and we find that c:\com[1-4] also crashes ie. ( 
CON LPT and NULL and PRN seem bug free..)
its no biggie but it works as advertized ;)

IE ver:6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920
