Unix SIP client -> MS Messenger?

Is anyone aware of an open source SIP client for *nix that can login
using TLS to a MS Messenger server?  I've been googling for a while, and
I've found lots of stuff for VoIP, but nothing for SIP clients that can
login to a Messenger server.
