Hi,
I want to set up a Linux box with Snort but when I first are going to do it, I want to do it right. Is it possible to run Linux and Snort from a single floppy?
I would imagine so. I managed to get a 1.8 Snort running on one of our low end router products (at the cost of a lot of other functionality of course) which only has 1meg of non-volatile memory of which 900k is available for an image. I've just tried (building only, not running) 2.0.0 sans rules sets and it fits with a 2.0 kernel.
