Scott,

I would suggest either:

a) returning this PIX to whomever your company purchased from and asking
for a refund, or
b) contacting Cisco TAC (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support).

TAC may be able to help. Cisco does not sell the PIX-520 anymore. The
product is beyond its End-of-Life.

I'm not sure but I believe that the hardware that you have purchased in
unable to run the version of PIX OS that was loaded.

Brian

Subject: [fw-wiz] Cisco PIX-520

Hello,

My company recently purchased a Cisco PIX-520. I am unfamiliar with
these machines. During the boot process I get the following message. I
am not sure what the issue is. Is it the Flash Card (the bios lists it
as obsolete)? Is it the PIX software, could an update be needed?

The flash card is P/N 86997. It appears that it is 2MB.

Thank you in advance,

Scott Geer
