user defined alerts and such, FW-1

All,
I am having trouble finding any really usefull information on a couple of
topics related
to FW-1.  Specifically, user defined alerts and SAM.  Does anyone know of a
decent
source on these subjects?  What I need to know most is the format of the
input
provided by FW-1 to a user defined script.  Unfortunately, I don't have a
fully
functional FW-1 install that I can experiment on at this time.
