looking for PIX configurations

Hi folks, Since this is a firewall mailing list, I thought this would be the right forum. I'm looking for people who would be willing to provide me with their PIX firewall configurations, so I can test the latest Lumeta Firewall Analyzer (LFA) PIX support code on real-life rule sets. As a bribe, I'll provide you with a cool LFA report generated for your rule set: you will see what packets your PIX would let through, incoming and outgoing, between any internal and external IP addresses, with or without NAT. It's an exhaustive audit of your security policy, that will not bring down your network, trip alarms, or waste your bandwidth. Show your management how well you've configured the firewall - or what a poor job the guy before you did... Naturally, your data will be kept strictly confidential. Lumeta would be happy to sign non-disclosure agreements if you prefer. If you are willing to send me your PIX configuration, follow the instructions below. If you would like to find out more about LFA, check out http://www.lumeta.com/firewall.html .std_disclaimer: Limited time offer. While supplies last. Your mileage may vary. Thanks, Avishai -- Avishai Wool, Ph.D., Chief Scientist & Co-Founder, Lumeta Corp. 220 Davidson Ave, 4th floor, Somerset, NJ 08873-4115, USA http://www.lumeta.com http://research.lumeta.com/yash/ yash () lumeta com Tel: (732) 357-3511 Cell: (973) 420-5919 ============================================ HOW TO SEND YOUR PIX CONFIGURATION TO LUMETA ============================================ 1. get the output of the PIX 'write terminal' or 'show config' or 'write net' (if you use a TFTP server) into a file called yourfirewall.pix 2. edit yourfile.pix and erase all the passwords (password, enable password, VPN keys etc). 3. PGP-encrypt-and-sign the file yourfirewall.pix using my public key, which you can get from http://research.lumeta.com/yash/AvishaiWool-pub.asc 4. E-mail the encrypted file (yourfirewall.pix.pgp), as an attachment, to yash () lumeta com 5. extract your PGP public key and email it to me (either as a separate email message or as another attachment with your encrypted configuration). Your public key will be used to encrypt the LFA report before sending it back to you. If you are unfamiliar with PGP, I can provide you with more detailed instructions. You can use any PGP compliant software. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
