hi there

curt wilson did a nice writeup of routing protocol attacks, and batz in
1999 or so discussed (not sure how publicly) vairous BGP attacks. i'm
certainly no BGP guy, but ISTR one attack is that the routing
advertisements at the BGP level aren't verified against a list of
authority. ie a network i never route to shouldn't be advertised by me,
but i can advertise it in BGP.

like i said i'm no BGP guy, so i coul dbe entirely wrong about this. but i
do know that curt's paper was pretty good. sorry no link, just do a google
search.
