cisco pix evaluation

I'm doing an evaluation of commercial firewall products suitable for a site
with high traffic, high-profile, and high security objectives.  After
reviewing numerous trade publication evaluations, product reviews, and
vendor product information I ranked the Cisco Pix in the top three of the
market offerings with respect to the site's requirements.  Today, in a
firewall security seminar the presenter, a security audit expert with good
credentials stated that the Cisco Pix was simply a router functioning as an
inexpensive firewall solution with limited security.   So how good is the
Pix?  Does the Cisco Pix deserve a high ranking or is the presenter right?
