Arrow Point Firewall

Dear All,

Arrowpoint (http://www.arrowpoint.com) make a load balancing device
similarily to the recently dicsussed F5 BIGip network appliance. However the
arrowpoint device says that it has a built in ICSA compliant firewall.
Reading a little more deeply into the speaks reveals that the firewall is a
wire speed packet filter firewall.

I understand the benefits of a packet filter firewall running at wire speed
etc... But why would you not rely on a packet filter firewall for a load
balanced web server farm. Specifically if the device performs bi-directional
NAT, and the Web servers are on a private network (10.0.x.x).

Does anyone know of any other load balancers with a supposedly built in wire
speed filter/application firewall, that also does IP routing and has 12-16
10/100 ports? :)

Also the load balaning device (and most provide this feature) can represent
the 2 or more web servers as one virtual IP address (using NAT?), does
anyone know if this affects the way some applications work (ie streaming
video etc...)

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,
