There is an IBM AS/400 firewall that runs on OS400. Actually, as of
the last time I worked with it there was an OS/2 base that the
firewall operated on within the OS400 systems. I don't recall the
details of the interaction between the two OS's.

I believe it does basic Stateful Inspection inbound and has fairly
good SOCKS support outbound. In all it's a decent firewall as long as
you don't mind sludging through an AS/400 command syntax (I think they
have a Web GUI now).

Subject: as/400 firewall

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with a firewall card/module (?) on a
as/400. I am looking for info., such as what type of firewall this
is,
what it can and can not do. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
