Any body have some good recommendations on firewall for protecting Novell
servers on a 100Mb LAN. Protocol is IPX (no IP).
Client has 9 Novell servers, through-put, logging, authentication are the most
important bullets. You can do some rudimentary filtering on Cisco routers. Things like MAC address, service type, IPX vs. SPX, things like that. You can see some examples here: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios112/nacl.htm Throughput is generally reasonable, loggin is OK, though it's low-level stuff. I'm not aware of any way to do authentication for IPX on a Cisco. Ryan
