What they all said. Microsoft was years behind Google in properly supporting OAuth on mobile and IMAP, but it's definitely there. Mac Mail, Outlook, many mobile clients, and even Thunderbird support a variety of Auto-configuration/AutoDiscover protocols. Set them up properly and new setups should "just work." You will have short-term pain to reconfigure existing deployments, and your helpdesk may prefer to throw up their hands and switch people to webmail anyway, but it can certainly be done.
