Using Encrypted Email with Google

Good Morning,
     We are noticing an increased demand for encrypted email solutions to
allow campus departments to send/receive encrypted email internally and
with outside entities.  We are currently looking at:

https://www.mailvelope.com/en

Has anyone else used the above have another solution they prefer?  Any
general advice or cautions about going down this road?
