Re: Security Training Audience?

When we started our program, we decided that the need for Data Security training should be required of anyone who would
be working with programs or data that existed in our protected space. All Staff, Faculty, Vendors, and Student workers
that have access into the portion of our network that could possibly access servers or devices that contain sensitive
data must take our training within 7 days of employment or contracture in order to not be locked out from access.

We are using Everfi as our training provider and have been pleased so far with the training. We have gone through a
few phishing attacks as well as several telephone scams recently and our users have referenced the training they
received as a factor in having them report those incidents to us.

So we define our audience as an “associate” which includes anyone employed by the University. So yes, This would
include Staff, Faculty, FT/PT and Student Workers.

We are doing workshops for the greater community. Our program is fledgling, but that has been our offers so far.

I know this was recently discussed, but my questions is slightly different. In terms of to whom you offer the training
to, do you include your student employees as well as FT/PT faculty and staff?

Thanks!

Chris
