Please join us on Monday, December 18 at 1:00 pm ET for a webinar entitled Student data in times of crisis: Collecting 
and managing data of displaced students in light of the severe impacts of recent weather events.



Representatives from the National Forum on Education Statistics, the Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), the 
Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) network, and the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) program have joined 
efforts to provide helpful information for state and local education agencies dealing with displaced students. This 
webinar will provide an overview of details found within the Crisis Data Management 
guide<https://nces.ed.gov/forum/pub_2010804.asp> published by The National Forum on Education Statistics that provides 
recommendations for collecting and maintaining data about students displaced by a crisis, whether they are moving in or 
out of your organization. We’ll also share:

  *   Privacy considerations that are critical to know, understand, and apply during crises
  *   Practitioners’ perspectives
  *   Questions and answers to practitioners via chat
  *   Contact information for support



Although a recording of the webinar will be sent out, we strongly encourage you to attend the session as there will be 
an opportunity for you to ask questions during the Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
