Greetings,

As you may know, the EDUCAUSE Center for Analysis and Research is conducting IT workforce
research<https://library.educause.edu/resources/2016/3/the-it-workforce-in-higher-education-2016> this year. Their
latest round of research is on specific professional roles, namely CISOs, chief data officers (CDOs), and enterprise
architects. The results of this research are expected later in the year.

The survey for Chief Information Security Officers (or an institution’s senior-most person responsible for information
security, regardless of title) is open now and collecting responses until May 15, 2016. By taking this survey, you will
help inform the higher ed IT community about the skills, experiences, personal traits, and competencies necessary for
success in this important leadership role.

You may access the CISO survey here: https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2734475/InfoSec-Leadership-Survey-2016

Note: If you are the senior-most information security leader at your institution, please do consider taking this
survey. If you are not, please consider forwarding this note to the person who is the senior-most information security
leader at your institution.

Finally, a few examples ECAR’s phase 1 workforce research findings can be found in the most recent edition of EDUCAUSE
