New EDUCAUSE Privacy Discussion Group

Greetings Security Discussion Group,

We are excited to announce a new EDUCAUSE discussion group focusing on privacy issues and challenges in higher 
education. This group is open to anyone in the higher ed community and will allow for broader discussions on the 
intersection of IT and privacy, as well as privacy issues related to security, surveillance, analytics/big data, 
compliance, policies, Internet of Things, etc. This group is a forum for discussion as well as a place to share 
strategies and solutions.

This discussion group coordinates with the EDUCAUSE Higher Education Chief Privacy 
Officers<http://www.educause.edu/about/mission-and-organization/governance-and-leadership/member-committees/higher-education-chief-privacy-officers>
 (HE-CPO) working group and helps identify project ideas for that group to address.
