The REN-ISAC PenTest group will be coordinating a Capture the Flag
(CTF) event at the 2014 Educause Security Professionals Conference in
St. Louis. This year?s CTF will be a jeopardy style event focusing on
various scenarios commonly seen in higher education environments.
Participants can choose to take the 1 hour advanced CTF challenge
after the general CTF while those who wish to go over the general CTF
solutions can participate in a concurrent review session. All CTF
materials and solutions (as well as those for the advanced challenge)
will be made available to participants at the end of the seminar.

The general CTF allows individuals or teams of up to four people. The
advanced CTF will only allow individual participation. Teams from the
general CTF will need to disband and compete as individuals. Prizes
will be awarded to winners and runners up of the general CTF for
individual and team divisions. One final prize will be awarded to the
winner of the advanced CTF challenge. When prizes are finalized they
will be posted in the Resources section of this seminar on the
Educause site.

Select preconference seminar ?SEM02F-Capture the Flag? to register for
this event. If you have already registered for the conference it?s not
too late to add it to your agenda! There are a limited amount of seats
so register as soon as possible! Early Bird pricing for the seminar
ends on April 8th so sign up before then to save some money!

Participants of all levels of experience are invited to compete.
Please let us know if you are interested in forming a team. We are
also looking for experienced individuals to lead teams of
inexperienced members. If you feel like you could lead and mentor a
team let us know. If you wish to be paired up with a team lead by a
mentor let us know as well. You also have the option of trying to set
up a team once you arrive. You can, of course, also participate as an
individual.

Questions can be sent to Warren Raquel at wraquel () illinois edu. An FAQ
has also been posted in the resources section of this seminar,
?SEM02F-Capture the Flag?, on the Educause site.
