Students with Internet Usage Restriction

Hi Everybody, We have periodically had students with court-ordered restrictions on Internet usage come to us for help participating in classes while following the court order. Participating in education these days is nearly impossible without Internet usage. I can think of one time when our campus police liaison worked out an arrangement with a parole officer to have a student's Internet use monitored by someone akin to a tutor. I never heard how that worked out. My questions for the list are, do you have policy that addresses this issue (and will you share it); have you used technical means to assist a student in reaching their educational goals while respecting the court order? Thanks for your thoughts! -- Robert Henry, CISSP ISO & Director of Information Security Services Acting Director, OIT Development Services Boise State University 208-426-5701 bhenry () boisestate edu http://oit.boisestate.edu/security
