Luckily, youtu.be is owned by google, so its a perfectly fine link. They use it to do URL shortening, now required
with the advent of utra-short messages (mainly twitter).

$ whois youtu.be
...
% WHOIS youtu
Domain: youtu
Status: REGISTERED
Registered: Mon Dec 24 2007

Registrant:
Not shown, please visit www.dns.be for webbased whois.

   Website: http://www.markmonitor.com

Nameservers:
   ns1.google.com
   ns2.google.com

   ns4.google.com

And from www.dns.be whois lookup:

Name DNS Admin
Organisation Google Inc.

Ok .. and I looked at both of these. But should it bother me that the url for the Rochester video is not
youtube.com ? Isn’t that what we tell people to avoid ? And “No” I didn’t see that until after I watched the video
– oops.

That certainly deserves as many views as USU's current claim to youtube fame:

(ours has nothing to do with Christmas or computer security, sorry)

All,

Some of our creative staff from the University of Rochester would like to share their most recent production of
“Phishing Bells”. Please feel free to share with your communities as a fun way to educate on the do’s and don’ts
when it comes to Phishing. The video is on youtube: http://youtu.be/Kf79GVnKdKM.
