Cross posting for more exposure Although this was posted online few days, thought it might be worth reading: A pair of researchers at Stanford University have created a computer program capable of cracking CAPTCHA codes, the widespread security system used by websites to determine whether a user is actually human. http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-20127715-281/outsmarted-captcha-security-not-much-of-a-gotcha/ Its interesting to note that Googles & re-captcha withstood the test.
