We received a batch of them this morning. All of them appeared to be accurate. They were all a little older, say perhaps a week or so.We received another batch this afternoon. None of them were accurate. These were within a day or so.I suspect they have an error in the time stamps. Were we the only ones?
From the ICPL list earlier today: > From: Steve Worona <sworona () EDUCAUSE EDU> > Date: September 30, 2010 1:09:53 PM EDT > To: ICPL () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU > Subject: [ICPL] Followup on reported spike in DMCA notices from RIAA> Reply-To: Institute for Computer Policy and Law Constituent Group Listserv <ICPL () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU>
>> Our RIAA contact tells us: "I spoke to the folks who send out the notices and they explained that there had been a bottle neck in their mail server. It seems that the previous week's notices all went out at once. They have since fixed the problem."
>> No word if they're considering outsourcing e-mail to a more reliable service. :-)
