I'm jumping in on this thread a little late sorry,

We too have had a huge rash of phishing scams using squirrellmail
accounts, it's really frustrating.

I have written a bunch of spamassassin rules to hit on these phishing
scams, however there is still a TON of room for improvement to these
rules.  If anyone has rules they have written (and are willing to share)
I would be happy to talk to you about the rules I have as well.  If
there is enough interest in these rules I would be more than happy to
aggregate and publish the rules as an anti-phishing rule set back out to
the educause community.
