Berkeley gave a presentation about their SharePoint implementation at
the Windows in Higher Education conference. This year's presentations
are available here: http://www.windows-hied.org/12.html I know several
other campuses at the event had also deployed SharePoint services, so I
expect you'll get more responses.

Subject: [SECURITY] Security experiences with SharePoint

Security List Members,

I have a few questions concerning how Windows SharePoint may be
currently used in higher education.

1. Is anyone deploying SharePoint at a significant level and to what
extent have they been successful?
2. Are there any pitfalls that organizations should avoid when doing
this?
3. Can anyone recommend particular security tools that enhance
SharePoint?
4. Can anyone recommend a particular architecture that reflects the
needs of Higher Ed?

I appreciate any information that can be supplied.
