IT security position available at U Florida

The University of Florida has an opening for a security engineer.

This position will emphasize programming and system administration in support of
the UF IT Security Team. Current projects include IDS conversion and creation of
web tools to assist with risk assessment. Most code is written in Perl or shell
scripts.  SQL knowledge is needed.  Systems support includes web, vulnerability
scanners, messaging, incident management and reporting. Everyone on the team
participates in incident detection, notification and resolution. This position
will also be expected to develop skills to conduct technical risk consultations.
Occasional public speaking may be required to support information security
training and awareness events.  See the link for more details.

Salary range from $40-$70K commensurate with qualifications.
