To help kick-off National Cyber Security Awareness Month, we need your
help in getting the word out about this year's Computer Security
Awareness Video Contest!

We've timed the launch of our second annual contest at this time to take
advantage of the attention IT security professionals and, hopefully,
students are giving to this significant month in information security.

Understanding that students can be difficult to reach with security
messages, students are often best at reaching other students when it
comes to the delivering of vital security messages. The
EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Security Task Force Awareness and Training Working
Group ran this contest with this idea in mind during this past academic
year to engage student filmmakers in producing short videos to tackle
computing security issues in a creative, visual and concise way. The
first contest was a huge success and demand for a second contest has
compelled us to hold the competition again.

Everyone will benefit from this contest:

* Winners will receive cash prizes and recognition!

* Schools will have a ready source of short, entertaining videos to use
in their awareness campaigns!

Please see previous winners' examples at
http://www.educause.edu/SecurityVideoContest.

Full details, including video production guidelines, promotional
materials, and judging criteria are available at
http://www.educause.edu/SecurityVideoContest2007.

New this year: online submission hosted by the ResearchChannel at
http://www.researchchannel.org who has recently partnered with the
EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Security Task Force on this contest.

The contest is sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance at
http://www.StaySafeOnline.org.

Thanks for your support of this exceptional initiative in celebration of
National Cyber Security Awareness Month!

Best regards,
Awareness and Training Working Group Co-Chairs
