Hard Disk Encryption

Hello We are in the process of implementing hard disk encryption at our
school. My question for those of you that have implemented this is: Did
you treat laptop and desktop computers the same in determining what
machines get encrypted? Given the fact that both desktop and laptop
computers may contain sensitive information, did the fact that desktop
computers are stationary and less likely to be stolen play into your
