ODU is using Can IT Pro for Enterprise messaging & spam punting. We have
"front door" redundant and fault tolerant SMTP servers, and CIP plugs in
quite nicely to that architecture. The end user customization features (we
are on the verge of deploying) are great - individual white / black list by
sender / domain, rules that affect / change the spam score at will, and a
"short and sweet" level for configuration are all great features. You can't
beat the name of the company - roaringpenguin.com. Did I mention you get
the source code? And you can customize your own auth method because you
can auth against a directory, a database, or modify the auth code for your
own purpose?

OH - and here's a hip feature. Since Lotus Notes produces broken HTML, we
can adjust the score for email coming from Notes and then apply it to
messages coming from those servers ... thus improving / increasing the
delivery of Notes email as we can pre-adjust the spam score and then let
the normal spam processing rules be applied to the message.

Its built on top of MIMEdefag, ClamAV, SpamAssassin, and MYSQL DB for back
end.

Its available on a VASCUP for VA Schools (pricing was GREAT).....
