Summer 2005 CANARIE/ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs Workshop, July 17-20

On behalf of Internet2, I would like to announce the Summer 2005
CANARIE/ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs Workshop, which will take place July
17-20 at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver,
British Columbia. This workshop offers a combination of tutorials,
plenary presentations, in-depth sessions, and BoFs. 

This year's Joint Techs will focus on two areas: Security and Advanced
Optical Networking. Attendees will explore what increasing security
really means for network operators. They will also look at the various
Advanced Optical Networking technologies and projects currently in the
works for the next generation of networks. Additionally, attendees will
hear presentations on subjects such as performance, measurement, and
other relevant areas. 

There are also 2 hands-on workshops scheduled before and after the Joint
Techs Workshop: E2Epi Network Performance Workshop, July 16-17, and
SIP.edu Workshop, July 20-21.
