Very interesting article with valid points.

There is a Perl scripts collection mentioned in the article
that provides for constant scans of residential networks to
identify compromised systems. The author suggests the script
writer is considering open sourcing the scripts if encouraged
to do so through the comment/feedback tool available at the
end of the article.
