Deep Freeze and Windows Updates

We are having an issue with our Public use machines and staying current with Windows Updates. We currently use Deep Freeze to lock down the machines. We are wondering what others are doing to work around Deep Freeze to allow Updates, or if there is a better solution out there to manage and secure public machines.
