Fwd: Cisco Security Agent Webinar

I went to an Intrusion Detection seminar just about 1 year ago in Boston. One of the vendors at the conference was Okena. They had a pretty nice Host-based Intrusion PREVENTION solution. Cisco purchased them about 6-8 months ago. Its a pretty good Web Seminar; if you are a Microsoft house (and/or Solaris 8) this will work for you. Cisco hasn't added any functionality to this Okena product, but they have added it (and integration of it) to their security suite.

If you are a Cisco shop, AND you have LMS 2.0, then the initial ROI is pretty good. If you have to buy LMS 2.x and other stuff, this could be an expensive solution.

I am NOT advocating this as a solution - just that there were TWO of these seminars being webcast - one was yesterday, the other tomorrow. It's about an hour for the presentation, and they will take voice questions at the end (you can type any question at any time during the presentation). This is certainly NOT a waste of time unless you have many OSX and Linux boxes (HP-UX, AIX, ComPackard Alpha's, etc.) to protect. They are planning on releasing a Linux and Win2003 client next year - Mac OSX has been shelved.
