Mark, we cycled more than 2500 students through our 'mandatory' security presentation for incoming students. Considering our incoming freshman class numbers only about 2100, we're very pleased with the results. (The remainder is attributed to transfers and interested upperclass.) They conduct presentations in the dorms and on campus, distribute media materials, etc. They also created a web site last year that is going to be further developed after I hire this year's SAC's... We warn students about the general alerts where an outside address is attempting connections to ports on their systems. It's a challenge to educate them to the point where they understand and know how to effectively make use of the capabilities of the firewall. Tammy L.
