https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/cybersecurity/wisconsin-diagnostic-laboratories-alerts-114-000-customers-of-data-breach.html Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories is the latest company to alert customers that their data may have been exposed in a data breach at American Medical Collection Agency, according to the HIPAA Journal. The diagnostic company has notified 114,000 patients of the data breach. AMCA alerted Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories June 3 that some patients' data had been exposed due to the hacking of a web payment portal. Customer data that may have been affected included names, dates of birth, dates of service, names of lab or medical service providers, referring physicians' names, balance owed and other medical information. No Social Security numbers of lab test results were affected. A few individuals also may have had their financial information exposed. Since learning of the data breach, Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories has stopped doing business with AMCA. Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories is the 23rd company to be connected to the AMCA data breach, reports the HIPAA Journal. Nearly 25 million patients have been impacted. _______________________________________________ BreachExchange mailing list sponsored by Risk Based Security BreachExchange () lists riskbasedsecurity com If you wish to Edit your membership or Unsubscribe you can do so at the following link: https://lists.riskbasedsecurity.com/listinfo/breachexchange
