A spokesperson says a computer stolen from the physics and astronomy department at the end of April may have compromised the personal information of more than 6,000 students. We're talking names, e-mail addresses and social security numbers. The affected students were enrolled in one of four classes, dating back to January 2010. That's when the laptop was first in use. There's an ongoing investigation into the incident. _______________________________________________ Dataloss-discuss Mailing List (dataloss-discuss () datalossdb org) Archived at http://seclists.org/dataloss/ Unsubscribe at http://lists.osvdb.org/mailman/listinfo/dataloss-discuss Supporters: Risk Based Security (http://www.riskbasedsecurity.com/) Risk Based Security equips organizations with security intelligence, risk management services and on-demand security solutions to establish customized risk-based programs to address information security and compliance challenges.
