http://www.kztv10.com/news/20-victims-claim-55-000-stolen-by-two-george-s-restaurant/ Corpus Christi police say there are now 20 victims who are reporting credit card fraud at the now defunct Two George's restaurant. Police say more than $55,000 has been reported taken. Police say their investigation continues today as they removed possible evidence from the restaurant. It's been closed since September 20, when the landlords locked the business out for non-payment of rent. The business' doors closed by the managers on September 18, after telling employees and the public the restaurant would be closed for renovations. Those renovations never happened, and the owners, Michelle and Jim Ovecka, can't be reached.... A Two George's catering van has been found at the airport, and the couple's home on Galway has been emptied of anything inside. Police say it's imperative that anyone who ate at the restaurant at any time double check bank statements to ensure they're not victims of fraud. The last victim claims to have eaten there 6 years ago. _______________________________________________ Dataloss Mailing List (dataloss () datalossdb org) Archived at http://seclists.org/dataloss/ Unsubscribe at http://datalossdb.org/mailing_list Learn encryption strategies that manage risk and shore up compliance.
