NV: Hospital offering credit monitoring in leak case

Hospital chief executive Kathy Silver told Nevada lawmakers yesterday (Wednesday) that investigators still don't know how many patient records are affected. In testimony before the Legislative Committee on Health Care, Silver said the FBI is investigating whether federal patient privacy laws were broken. She says hospital officials were alerted last month that perhaps 141 accident victims' personal information was leaked Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
