KY: Dozens of college students warned they could be identity theft victims

About 1 out of every 11 people's personal information on the campus could be in someone else's hand. Leah Dick says, "When you think of identity theft you think of when I'm on the computer, buying stuff online you really don't think of your school." According to one alleged victim, who didn't want to be identified she was informed by letter Tuesday that a file containing personal information including her name, school identity, and social security number had gone missing. The letter, she says, did not elaborate on what exactly this file was and neither would school officials only saying it happened over the weekend and a police report has been filed regarding stolen social security numbers of nearly 100 students.
