KY: Laptop theft prompts NKU letter

Advertisement NKU Police are investigating the theft. "We have no reason to believe that any of that information has been or is being used," NKU spokesman Chris Cole said Saturday. The computer was taken July 22, according to a letter from Sara Sidebottom, the university's vice president for legal affairs and general counsel. Cole said the personal information stored on the employee's computer included social security numbers of at least 200 current and former students.
