Following one of the biggest data breaches in history, Heartland earns
back its PCI compliance status.

PRINCETON, N.J. - Following the completion of its annual Payment Card
Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) assessment, Heartland Payment
Systems has successfully validated its compliance with PCI DSS. As such,
Heartland is returning to Visa's List of PCI DSS Validated Service
Providers.

Last month Visa suspended Heartland Payment Systems, placing it on
probation while allowing the company to still process credit card
transactions. The move is in response to last year's data breach by
credit card processor Heartland that may have exposed tens of thousands
of credit card transactions.

According to Visa, Heartland was added back to the list - which can be
found at www.visa.com/cisp <http://www.visa.com/cisp> - on Monday, May
4.
