Strangely enough, there was a spike in reported issues on SVCHOST.exe in the MS forums since last week (high memory utilization for one of the processes invoked by svchost.exe). If these were due to the malware exploiting the reported vulnerability, then the extent of infection could be significantly high (provided, of course, if the proliferation mechanism of the malware is first-rate). I doubt if most enterprise applied the patch immediately after the release considering that today is Friday (not much IT support during the weekend, at least for most imho). Good thing most AVs are now catching the Gimmiv malware and hopefully all its variants. But still, the hole has got to be plugged. Btw, any figures showing the extent of infection at this point?
