Does anyone else find it odd that Elcomsoft is getting a lot of press
for something relating to cracking on video cards, when you could just
write your cracker in RapidMind and be done with the whole problem? No
doubt that was one of RapidMind's early test programs.

When selling stories, you need a memorable 'hero'. Elcomsoft will be
that way for a couple more years as the people who got tangled by the
DMCA which is still very unpopular in Linux circles. In 2 more years
it will probably be old news, but it still resonates and has better
recognition than probably any other person, company, alien entity that
has been using FPGA and similar tools for years before Elcomsoft
printed their release.
