it's much more than that. they're using a dynamic instrumentation
engine (think of a sort of valgrind, except it's fast) and basically
runtime (re)generate the entire userland code that they want to
shepherd. all control transfers can then be instrumented to hook
into a policy engine and enforce whatever you fancy.
