CALL FOR PAPERS On Wednesday June 9th 1999, the Dutch UNIX User Group NLUUG is organising a conference on: UNIX AND WINDOWS NT The program committee is looking for speakers and topics for tutorials and lectures to be presented on this conference. Topics of interest cover aspects of Windows NT from the standpoint of a UNIX system administrator, or delve into the various interoperability aspects of these operating systems. You do not need to be an experienced speaker in order to be invited to speak on this conference; the program committee is also looking for relevant user experiences in the mentioned field. Examples of suitable topics are: * * Windows NT security * Connecting UNIX mail and Microsoft Exchange Server * Comparing UNIX file servers for Windows clients * The Linux smbfs * Management of heterogeneous UNIX/Windows networks * User experiences with the Cygnus GNUWin32 tools * X-Servers on Windows NT * Cross UNIX/Windows single sign-on * Integrating UNIX and Windows NT * Windows NFS client software * The NetPC * User experiences with Insignia Ntrigue * VNC - Virtual Network Computing * Integrating Microsoft Transaction Server with UNIX databases * Why UNIX is better? :) * Why Windows NT is better? :) * Performance comparison UNIX and Windows NT * NIS(+) en the NT domain model * The Windows NT POSIX subsystem * Cross platform software development * UNIX versus Windows NT on multi-processor platforms * Remote management of Windows NT systems * If you know a suitable topic, or want to present a tutorial or lecture we invite you to contact the program committee with a proposal.
